- Is HyperDisk compatible with USB4?
No, it’s not. HyperDisk is USB 3.1 Gen 2 and backward compatibility.
- Does it have encryption capability?
No, it doesn’t.
- How does the unit stay cool?
Cooling fins and heat conduction in the shell offer multiple thermal protection and effectively help HyperDisk stay cool.
- Is HyperDisk being sold DTC? Or are you working with major brick and mortar outlets?
No, it’s not. Up to now, HyperDisk has been sold only through online crowdfunding campaigns. Working with physical outlets in the near future is within our plan.
- Why can't my HyperDisk reach the maximum speed? What are those influence factors?
Interface, cable, storage balance, body temperature, and fragmented files or not are all the variables and factors affecting transfer speed. HyperDisk is able to perform at its best in connection with the Thunderbolt™ 3 interface of iMac or else, and with storage balance maintaining over half. With temperature rises as HyperDisk works, the transfer speed will slow down depending on the case, but the heat could be conducted out effectively thanks to its aluminum alloy shell and cooling fins inside. Moreover, the fact that files you are going to transfer are an integrated one or fragments, even though they are the same GB, will also effect the speed. Transfer speed will be slower when the files are fragmented.
